Exploring our Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu Team

We have been connecting with our Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu team and their schools. We explored the landscape around the school using Google Earth. We noticed some similarities and difference to Glen Innes School.

We also used Google Maps to find the distances to Levin North School. It would take us the entire school day, over 6 hours to drive to Levin North School. We could walk to Glen Taylor School in 16 minutes.

My Easter Weekend by Kalisi

Last week on Friday the 31st we went to the beach. The reason we had to go to the beach was that we had to attend our cousin that had a birthday so we had to attend.

First, we asked my Mum if we could go build sand castles and they happily said yes so we ran to find the perfect spot to play in. We finally found a spot to play in and it was the perfect spot it had the sun not too hot but just perfect to play in.

Next, my cousin fell over then my siblings and I all started laughing and Seini my sister started laughing so hard that she nearly peed her pants. We all started laughing harder when she told us she nearly peed her pants it was so funny that we almost peed our pants.

Then my mum called us to come eat so we all ate but then they asked to swim in the water but I said no and went to sleep. After thirty minutes I woke up but when I tried going back to sleep my mum slapped my head and told me to go swimming so I listened to her and went for a swim. It was so cold but I managed to swim.

Finally, my Mum told us to hop in the car to do our easter hunt. So my cousin, my siblings, and I hopped in the car and my Mum started driving home to get ready and hide all the easter eggs so we could find them. She told us it would be hard if you can’t see properly but I quite enjoyed it.

I was so happy to celebrate with my Mum’s side of the family it was really exciting with a lot of laughter and smiles I really enjoyed spending time with my Mum and her side of the family!

Jelly as jiggly as slime

This is jelly some of you out there might have tasted ,it is like raro and if you can’t see the can the fruit is pear and it was really fat like a slice of an apple. The jelly jiggled like a fat man running and is flabs jiggling. I love to eat the jelly because it is sweet with the pear. The people in my class loved it so much so my teacher and Ms Lammas said there is a little more so come and get some. I did not want to come cause I already had so much jelly and when it was all gone people wanted more! I hope we can make it again with my class with the grape and lime flavour next time!

When I grow up by Akenza

When I grow up I want to be a dancer so I can encourage kids to dance and express themselves. I really enjoyed doing my self -portrait with help from LV who is a very talented artist. Dancing is a good way of expressing oneself and I hope I can be a professional dancer when I grow up.

Rainbow Fish by Skylar

We have been learning to identify and solve problems that need to be solved.

What I found challenging was when we all were doing our rainbow fish is the scales. It was so hard because it goes big then small then big and small again. That’s why it was so hard to do.

What do you think about my blog post? Please leave a comment.
